OUR PROCESS

When the product requirement is other than a natural rust finish our steel undergoes two important stages :

1. All components are zinc plated before assembly2. After assembly the product is then powdercoated
If requested the final item may be hand painted or spray painted. In this case the item would be primed over the zinc plating before the application of top coats

COASTAL

In the event of the finished item being located within close proximity to coastal environment we would hot dip galvanise the item

NATURAL RUST FINISH

This beautiful finish is very popular. The steel we use is always upwards of 2mm. Most people's experience of rust is with automobiles in situations where moisture has been trapped, leading to product failure. In the use of rust steel for our water features and planter boxes sealants are used

QUALITIES OF STEEL

1. Steel is particularly strong in very small dimensions resulting in a fine(lightweight) visual appearance.

2. Steel is stable unlike timber it will not warp or split with outdoor usage.

3. In the event of lengthy unsupported beams the use of steel is most appropriate. 4 -5 mtr spans are easily achievable.
