A citrus grove of Cumquat, grapefruit and orange trees dedicated to a much loved, departed family member – masses of rosemary and lavender, thyme, parsley and bay, used daily and dotted with insect attracting and companion plants – sedum, comfrey and calendula. This is truly a working garden, not even our construction stopped the foraging of free range chooks. The garden is mature, mediterranean in style with the pergola set over two of a seven tiered landscape. You could be forgiven thinking of Tuscany or Provence with long ago created rock walls, instead your views are to the west, towards Melbourne city and over Port Phillip Bay.
This beautiful location launches the Gardens of Steel “Garden Pergola” a new freestanding pergola dedicated to the passions of the gardener and to lovingly grown produce. “The Garden Pergola” design concept provides for a wide range of options, two models and twenty one different sizes, from a rose festooned walkway, to spanning a large vegetable garden there’s an option to suit your particular requirement.Also tailoring to your needs is a wide range of decorative brackets, colour and finish, including stunning natural rust.
Further options for ‘The Garden Pergola’ include the addition of our woven steel lattice panels providing spectacularly for the gardens great climbers - Wisteria, roses, beans, grapes and passionfruit.And for the gardener who would rather be in the garden than just about anywhere else we’ve gone a little bit further – the option of partial roofing covering that special rest spot, we’ll even tailor easily fixed soft covering, ideal for shade or for special occasions when friends and family get to share the delights.

Design ‘The Garden Pergola’ comprises two models with eighteen size options to suit your requirements- as small as 1800mm x 2mtrs allowing for a narrow concept spanning a walkway through an olive or citrus grove, up to the largest size of six by four metres as an integral part of a vegetable garden . (see sizes). Construction ‘The Garden Pergola’ is a fully prefabricated product from the finest Australian made steel, all sections are bolted together on site. Gardens of Steel offers a full installation service throughout the main centres of Australia. Construction is straightforward and could be undertaken by a builder or landscaper of your choice. Directions and all assistance is provided by Gardens of Steel. |
